Stade Rennais FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baal Garry ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Eneko Puyol got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-0. 8 minutes into the match. Ivan Käcker might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joris Lahaye. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Käcker ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Stade Rennais FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Käcker came free, but Joris Lahaye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Käcker got free with Joris Lahaye in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 18 minutes, Ivan Käcker made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Stade Rennais FC's Joris Lahaye tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Stade Rennais FC's zone, Ivan Käcker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joris Lahaye came out of the goal and Ivan Käcker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ivan Käcker put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joris Lahaye. If Ivan Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Romain Clapier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stade Rennais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romain Clapier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Käcker got free with Joris Lahaye in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joris Lahaye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Käcker, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Joris Lahaye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Käcker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Versannat booed when Stade Rennais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luka Rioult didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joris Lahaye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Käcker, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Käcker to make the kick off. When Ivan Käcker came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Versannat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Käcker couldn't finish the play. After having played for 53 minutes, Ivan Käcker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Versannat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Käcker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Käcker in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joris Lahaye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 56 minutes of play Stade Rennais FC's Luka Rioult was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Stade Rennais FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luka Rioult hit a great ball. Ivan Käcker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joris Lahaye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Käcker in the 58th minute of the match. Joris Lahaye didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Käcker went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. If Ivan Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 67 minutes of play, Versannat's Ivan Käcker made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joris Lahaye was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Ivan Käcker notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Stade Rennais FC's Joris Lahaye. Joris Lahaye was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cyril Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joris Lahaye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joris Lahaye didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Käcker went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Vivien Desmonts charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivien Desmonts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Vivien Desmonts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Ivan Käcker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joris Lahaye. Stade Rennais FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Käcker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. When the referee ended the match the Versannat players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
