Spectators: 8462 (Terracing: 6347, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 169) Stade Rennais FC's Hamid Badier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. PMM2023's Marcelo Casielles got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benoît Royant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Joris Lahaye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Stade Rennais FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benoît Royant came free, but Joris Lahaye reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Casielles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joris Lahaye having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Antony Sophie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Alfred Gachon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ubaldo Rubio. PMM2023's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Gachon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Joris Lahaye was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maël Aparicio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 27 minute of play. Darren Greco hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Rodrigue Bau kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. With his leg Joris Lahaye managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when PMM2023's Marcelo Casielles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Gachon during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Stade Rennais FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Gachon. In the 47th minute, Romain Clapier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Casielles was the one to do the kick off. Teddy Lalouette kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Joris Lahaye stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Casielles's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Maël Aparicio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Marcelo Casielles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joris Lahaye was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ubaldo Rubio came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Stade Rennais FC's Luka Rioult. But to his dismay, Luka Rioult quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Joris Lahaye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kylian Ponchel in the 78th minute of play. Rodrigue Bau hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Hamid Badier came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Stade Rennais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamid Badier couldn't finish the play. If Marcelo Casielles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Stade Rennais FC defense, Marcelo Casielles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joris Lahaye. The Stade Rennais FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joris Lahaye should have stopped the shot. Ubaldo Rubio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamid Badier, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Marcelo Casielles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stade Rennais FC's Joris Lahaye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Casielles in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PMM2023 had played much better football throughout.
