Mike Abraham kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Olaf Zaworski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Olaf Zaworski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lezennes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Lezennes's Jörgen Back played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Cadieu in the 43rd minute of play. When Jordan Busch came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Nice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordan Busch couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olaf Zaworski was the one to do the kick off. Jörgen Back had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Porter Lacy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Olaf Zaworski struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pavel Lifanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lezennes. In the 74th minute Olaf Zaworski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Lifanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Aurelio Berdoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Pavel Lifanov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olaf Zaworski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Lezennes's Mané Cosme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavel Lifanov narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
