An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Ferrandon in the 42nd minute of play forced Bouvard's goalkeeper Ben Carteron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jim Boulle was the one to do the kick off. Ben Carteron came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Real Sociedad's Edmond Antigny. But to his dismay, Edmond Antigny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Bouvard's zone, Edmond Antigny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Carteron came out of the goal and Edmond Antigny tried to chip the ball over his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Dillies in the 86th minute of play forced Bouvard's goalkeeper Ben Carteron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Carteron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoffroy Soullard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bouvard getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jim Boulle hit a great ball. Marc-Olivier Cortès kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Bouvard's Ben Carteron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Dillies in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Sociedad had played much better football throughout.
