Hansen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Símun T. Hansen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jónhard Mikkelsen in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Sørvágsfjørður D's Heini Thomsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Símun T. Hansen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ingi Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Hansen having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Heini Thomsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Símun T. Hansen. Meio Campo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Heini Thomsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Sørvágsfjørður D's goal looked a bit too open when Ingi Hansen came free, but Tommy Hansen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Hansen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atli Højsted's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heini Thomsen in the 44th minute of play forced Meio Campo's goalkeeper Símun T. Hansen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atli Højsted could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Tommy Hansen made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atli Højsted to make the kick off. The referee showed Andy Joensen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sørvágsfjørður D's Kenneth Hansen was substituted for John Egholm. Hansen got control of the ball when Heini Thomsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sørvágsfjørður D's zone, Ingi Hansen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Hansen came out of the goal and Ingi Hansen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sørvágsfjørður D's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
