Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Atilio Sierra kicked off to start the match. Montes Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Froilan Salan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josias Zubiaga in the 4th minute of the match. When Atilio Sierra came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Portanet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilio Sierra couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Montes Huerta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victorio Ruiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubarna Candela having to interfere. Victorio Ruiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Ubarna Candela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Josias Zubiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Froilan Salan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Portanet getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Americo Yeste hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, G E Bazan C F's goalkeeper Ubarna Candela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Ruiz. After a defensive mix-up in Portanet's zone, Josias Zubiaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Salan came out of the goal and Josias Zubiaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Montes Huerta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Froilan Salan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Josias Zubiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Salan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josias Zubiaga in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Froilan Salan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Montes Huerta was the one to do the kick off. Victorio Ruiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubarna Candela having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Josias Zubiaga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Froilan Salan. Josias Zubiaga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Montes Huerta in the 57th minute of play forced Portanet's goalkeeper Froilan Salan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, G E Bazan C F's Montes Huerta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Atilio Sierra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubarna Candela was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 78th match minute, G E Bazan C F was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cris Barroso to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 80 minutes, Atilio Sierra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portanet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilio Sierra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Atilio Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josias Zubiaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Froilan Salan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Josias Zubiaga ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Portanet's Milian Rico got a free kick in the 90th minute. Ubarna Candela came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Portanet's Atilio Sierra. But to his dismay, Atilio Sierra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
