Ascó's Enol Romero quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mel Gala in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario De la Torre saved Villarejo Seco SAD from getting behind. After some careless play in the Villarejo Seco SAD defense, Lander Calatayud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario De la Torre. The Villarejo Seco SAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario De la Torre should have stopped the shot. Villarejo Seco SAD's Prospero Feal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lucjan Zielinski but with some difficulty. In the 39th minute, Mel Gala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julen Idiaquez lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Ascó getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Julen Idiaquez hit a great ball. After having played for 50 minutes, Cucao Castelao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villarejo Seco SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cucao Castelao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmiro Calderon made a kick off. A collision led to Villarejo Seco SAD getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. José Estrada hit a great ball. Lucjan Zielinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Calderon, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Mel Gala in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario De la Torre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Mel Gala came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ascó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mel Gala couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the game, José Estrada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villarejo Seco SAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ascó the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Villarejo Seco SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Estrada to maneuver through the defense. Delmiro Calderon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lander Calatayud came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Ascó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lander Calatayud couldn't finish the play. After 98 minutes of play Villarejo Seco SAD's José Estrada was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 99th minute, José Estrada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
