The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Tomás Kotrba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Margatània F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tomás Kotrba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guilabertus Morcego having to make a save. In the 14th minute Nuno Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilabertus Morcego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Nuno Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guilabertus Morcego was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Guilabertus Morcego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Kotrba, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Kotrba in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilabertus Morcego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Nafría got free with Tabor Marines in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. El Pobla Nou De Benitatxell's Guilabertus Morcego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Kotrba in the 32nd minute of play. Tomás Kotrba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Guilabertus Morcego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Margatània F.C.'s Tabor Marines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Margatània F.C. from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the El Pobla Nou De Benitatxell defense, Tomás Kotrba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilabertus Morcego. The El Pobla Nou De Benitatxell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilabertus Morcego should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes Margatània F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Palomares. In the 47th minute of the match Gaitan Fernandez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tabor Marines skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Margatània F.C.'s Tabor Marines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Riells in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Margatània F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Nieto to maneuver through the defense. If Rolando Nafría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Pobla Nou De Benitatxell getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ekhi Companys hit a great ball. Nuno Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Nuno Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Margatània F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
