Real Grupo Covadonga's Reinaldo Benito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Litago in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Bibiano Camacho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinaldo Benito. Real Grupo Covadonga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bibiano Camacho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Reinaldo Benito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bibiano Camacho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th match minute, Tarancón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Indalecio Olmos to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Tarancón FC's goalkeeper Xosepin Guasch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zuri Garcia. If Carlos Barro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Unzueta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. A collision led to Tarancón FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Esteban Unzueta hit a great ball. Raimundo Abril recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Indalecio Olmos fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarancón FC's protests and gave Indalecio Olmos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tarancón FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Indalecio Olmos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bibiano Camacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tarancón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bibiano Camacho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinaldo Benito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Indalecio Olmos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes in the game Isaltino Maciel did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Zuri Garcia.

Benito Saboya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Benito having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Carlos Barro made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tarancón FC's Xosepin Guasch tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristobal Macho hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Tarancón FC's Xosepin Guasch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Barro in the 79th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Tarancón FC got a freekick which was hit by Indalecio Olmos. In the 81st minute, Indalecio Olmos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Carlos Barro notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Tarancón FC's Xosepin Guasch. Xosepin Guasch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Barro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute of the game Isaltino Maciel made a throw-in which Filiberto Babia played forward. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Real Grupo Covadonga players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
