An unexpectedly hard shot by Aitor Rivera in the 6th minute of play forced La Vega's goalkeeper Bernabel Sobera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aitor Rivera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabel Sobera having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Aintza Albizua managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mediana SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Aintza Albizua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernabel Sobera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La Mediana SD's Aintza Albizua suffered a concussion in the 37th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Melquiades Viejo fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Vega's protests and gave Melquiades Viejo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Vega getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Melquiades Viejo hit a great ball. Eusebio Pastor might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernabel Sobera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Pastor ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute, Eusebio Pastor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Behe Flores cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bernabel Sobera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramone Sacristán was the one to do the kick off. Zeledon Clemente was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, La Vega's Bernabel Sobera got control of the ball when Behe Flores tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the La Vega defense, Atilio Bermejo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabel Sobera. The La Vega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabel Sobera should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute Eusebio Pastor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabel Sobera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilio Bermejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aniol Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Atilio Bermejo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mediana SD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilio Bermejo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xano Viqueira during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Xano Viqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in La Vega's zone, Atilio Bermejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabel Sobera came out of the goal and Atilio Bermejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eusebio Pastor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Behe Flores charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Behe Flores the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Behe Flores hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, La Mediana SD's Atilio Bermejo got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
