The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaskon Cifuentes got free with Adolfo Ribeiro in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaskon Cifuentes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Adolfo Ribeiro made a huge save. Froilan Acedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adolfo Ribeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Froilan Acedo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute.
