With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Beloki in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cordarell Fuentes saved Orihuela Deportiva from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan-Francisco Ecija in the 7th minute of play forced Palamós's goalkeeper Raymond Montiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palamós's Raymond Montiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Goyo Abasalo in the 8th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Carmelo Fresnos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Palamós's Raymond Montiel. Raymond Montiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raymond Montiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan-Francisco Ecija went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Cris Comas charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cris Comas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Orihuela Deportiva got a freekick which was hit by Cris Comas. The long shot by Blas Beloki in the 23rd minute really tested Cordarell Fuentes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cordarell Fuentes made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Blas Beloki sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Carmelo Fresnos notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Palamós's Raymond Montiel. Raymond Montiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raymond Montiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Francisco Ecija in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Orihuela Deportiva's Juan-Francisco Ecija got a free kick in the 36th minute. Orihuela Deportiva's Zachary Jeziorkowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ramone Vazquez in the 46 minute of the game. Juan-Francisco Ecija blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raymond Montiel having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan-Francisco Ecija made a kick off. In the 55th minute Juan-Francisco Ecija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Fresnos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carmelo Fresnos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Epicuro Dulce got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ramón Ramis. Palamós's Raymond Montiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Francisco Ecija in the 66th minute of play. Xalvador Duran hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Juan-Francisco Ecija took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Raymond Montiel to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rico Calvo during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Palamós got a freekick which was hit by Rico Calvo. A collision led to Orihuela Deportiva getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Cris Comas hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the game Epicuro Dulce made a throw-in which Ramón Ramis played forward. Raymond Montiel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan-Francisco Ecija's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Raymond Montiel was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Carmelo Fresnos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carmelo Fresnos really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After having played for 86 minutes, Blas Beloki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palamós's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Beloki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Raymond Montiel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Juan-Francisco Ecija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Montiel having to interfere. Epicuro Dulce made in the 96th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ramón Ramis. When the final whistle sounded Orihuela Deportiva left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Palamós.
