An unexpectedly hard shot by Giro Munoz in the 7th minute of play forced RCDE's goalkeeper Michael Camacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RCDE's Anacleto Leseduarte got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Sobera came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by RCDE's Anacleto Leseduarte. But to his dismay, Anacleto Leseduarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fernando Sobera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moisés Justo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Anacleto Leseduarte made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Sobera. Julepe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 24 minutes into the match, RCDE's goal looked a bit too open when Giro Munoz came free, but Michael Camacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Camacho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabino Barro in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Julepe's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Justo came free, but Fernando Sobera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Camacho made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Aranguiz Valdivia sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, Eduardo Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fernando Sobera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anacleto Leseduarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. RCDE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Justo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Giro Munoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eduardo Costa fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RCDE's protests and gave Eduardo Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Eduardo Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Fernando Sobera came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by RCDE's Koldo Encina. But to his dismay, Koldo Encina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The supporters of Julepe booed when RCDE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Illan Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Leseduarte scored 1-6 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Sobera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moisés Justo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Julepe getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Guillerme Helguera hit a great ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Moisés Justo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RCDE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Justo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, Anacleto Leseduarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Sobera. The goal made the score 1-7. A hard shot 78 in the game by Anacleto Leseduarte from a close distance when the talented Fernando Sobera managed to make a qualified save. Julepe's players were relieved. In the 79th minute, Curro Guasch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Moisés Justo made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Sobera. Julepe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8. After 86 played minutes Julepe got a freekick which was hit by Giro Munoz. 89 minutes into the game, RCDE's Moisés Justo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Sobera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-9. Moisés Justo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Sobera having to make a save. The Julepe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RCDE were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
