Alifonso Caballero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otero Saura went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Valentino Zubiaga charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentino Zubiaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Orson got a freekick which was hit by Valentino Zubiaga. In the 23rd minute, Emilio Molina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alifonso Caballero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Murcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Alifonso Caballero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertran Barbosa in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Otero Saura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alifonso Caballero, 2-0. Orson were furious when Francesco Ponce was red carded, 30 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Orson fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! In the 32nd minute, the referee gave FC Barcelona a penalty. Corin Aputis looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Alifonso Caballero. In the 35th minute Bertran Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alifonso Caballero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Serrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Orson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Molina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 minutes, Prudencio Sánchez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Barcelona and the Orson players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Orson booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Sánchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Molina was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Valentino Zubiaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xalo Dobale came out of the goal and Valentino Zubiaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the game, Bertran Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Alifonso Caballero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 80 minutes into the game, Orson's Emilio Molina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xalo Dobale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Alifonso Caballero came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Lawrence Murcia. But to his dismay, Lawrence Murcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Orson's Alifonso Caballero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Murcia in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Orson's Teodoro Serrano got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Emilio Molina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Molina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Barcelona had played much better football throughout.
