Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) Manolo De Toro made the kick off and thus started the match. Otero Saura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Almagro's zone, Lawrence Murcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Solera came out of the goal and Lawrence Murcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Corin Aputis hit a great ball. Salvador Solera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence Murcia in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otero Saura in the 19th minute of play forced Almagro's goalkeeper Salvador Solera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Santi Quesada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Otero Saura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Almagro's Lauro Castro got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Llope Ucero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almagro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. After 31 played minutes Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Llope Ucero. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lawrence Murcia in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Solera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Almagro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Corin Aputis was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Barcelona's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Corin Aputis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Almagro's Salvador Solera did a great save. Xalo Dobale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manolo De Toro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Xalo Dobale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santi Quesada in the 57th minute of play. If Manolo De Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Murcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Manolo De Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xalo Dobale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almagro's Salvador Solera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Almagro from getting a goal against them. Prudencio Sánchez kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Almagro's Manolo De Toro got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manolo De Toro struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Xalo Dobale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almagro.
