Germán Perpiñán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Veremundo Alcantara's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The supporters of SPL booed when Luzaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramone Turienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Luzaga's zone, Veremundo Alcantara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When the match was over SPL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Luzaga throughout the match.
