Carolo Orozco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Salvador Solera. Almagro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Serginho Massa put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Salvador Solera. 14 minutes into the match, Luzaga's goal looked a bit too open when Santi Quesada came free, but Germán Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ramone Turienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Caviezel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Salvador Solera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Carolo Orozco notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Almagro's Salvador Solera. Salvador Solera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristos Fuente charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristos Fuente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Cristos Fuente. Almagro's Salvador Solera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Orozco in the 33rd minute of play. If Serginho Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Serginho Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luzaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Solera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramone Turienzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mauro Caviezel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Solera having to interfere. Carolo Orozco might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salvador Solera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carolo Orozco ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manolo De Toro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luzaga's Carolo Orozco got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bingen Lillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Solera having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Almagro's goal looked a bit too open when Rufo Lermo came free, but Salvador Solera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Luzaga's Rufo Lermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salvador Solera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After 71 minutes, Serginho Massa made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Almagro's Salvador Solera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Almagro's zone, Rufo Lermo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Solera came out of the goal and Rufo Lermo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Almagro getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Llope Ucero hit a great ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Bingen Lillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luzaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bingen Lillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Almagro's zone, Ramone Turienzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Solera came out of the goal and Ramone Turienzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luzaga's Ramone Turienzo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luzaga's Ramone Turienzo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Almagro. Llope Ucero's late challenge caught a Luzaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Llope Ucero helped the player get up and apologised. Luzaga's Rufo Lermo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
