He was immediately shown a red card. 13 minutes into the match, Murcia City's Evangelista Zurica sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Austin Abrego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, Leones de Montepinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aimar Garzon to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Villa got free with Austin Abrego in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leones de Montepinar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Siro Ruiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Siro Ruiz made the kick off in the second half. Austin Abrego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Murcia City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
