With his leg Frederick Baltanas managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Rubite FC's Rafa Abasalo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Rubite FC booed when Imperial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotil Caminero didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Frederick Baltanas managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Rubite FC's Rafa Abasalo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Frederick Baltanas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lazaro Prieto in the 21st minute. Rafa Abasalo in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. When Gizon Munoz came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Rubite FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gizon Munoz couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafa Abasalo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Rafa Abasalo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Imperial's Frederick Baltanas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pudes Figueres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederick Baltanas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Frederick Baltanas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Abasalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Imperial's Frederick Baltanas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Abasalo in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Imperial defense, Rafa Abasalo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederick Baltanas. The Imperial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederick Baltanas should have stopped the shot. Marcos Fuente kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Arbidel Llorente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abejundio Madariaga in the 78th minute of the match. Alfronso Cazorla's late challenge caught a Rubite FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfronso Cazorla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Imperial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfronso Cazorla to maneuver through the defense. When Mino Buendia fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imperial's protests and gave Mino Buendia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Mino Buendia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodolfo Romero hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Rubite FC's Arbidel Llorente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Rubite FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gizon Munoz in the 95th minute of play forced Imperial's goalkeeper Frederick Baltanas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubite FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
