In the 39th minute, Rio Esperta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gonzalo Bergada fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinchón United F.C.'s protests and gave Gonzalo Bergada a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of amando iglesias booed when Pinchón United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Bergada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
