Anton Ledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peli Zafrilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th match minute, Beticostrogodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tome Rivera to maneuver through the defense. Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Beticostrogodo from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Beticostrogodo's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Sven Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cucao Acedo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Beticostrogodo's zone, Oliver Bierhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Jansson came out of the goal and Oliver Bierhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliver Bierhoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Oliver Bierhoff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Jansson was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. U.E Malgrat de Mar's attentive Miltos Kosmakos managed to snatch the ball when Tome Rivera made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Beticostrogodo's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Sven Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very nice done corner allowed Miltos Kosmakos to score against Sven Jansson in Beticostrogodo's goal. 2-0 after 31 minutes. Oliver Bierhoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sven Jansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beticostrogodo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Oliver Bierhoff scored to the left of an out of position Sven Jansson, making the score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zoilo Amer made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Zoilo Amer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beticostrogodo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoilo Amer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Jansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 64th minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Oliver Bierhoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beticostrogodo's Sven Jansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Oliver Bierhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucero Alcalde in the 68th minute of play forced Beticostrogodo's goalkeeper Sven Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zoilo Amer during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Beticostrogodo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Zoilo Amer hit a great ball. Beticostrogodo made a substitution. Juan-Luis Caballero replaced Zoilo Amer. In the 70th minute, Zoilo Amer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Ledo made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Peli Zafrilla sent off a good shot on target. After 75 minutes of play, U.E Malgrat de Mar's Oliver Bierhoff made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Jansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beticostrogodo's Felix Jerca was substituted for Jim Morrison. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by U.E Malgrat de Mar's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Damazy Harendarski was slow to take the kick. During this time Beticostrogodo's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Damazy Harendarski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anton Ledo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Cifuentes in the 91st minute of play forced U.E Malgrat de Mar's goalkeeper Anton Ledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peli Zafrilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Ledo having to interfere. In the 95thth minute of the game Rosendo Cifuentes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U.E Malgrat de Mar's Anton Ledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. U.E Malgrat de Mar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
