An unexpectedly hard shot by Xicu Contreras in the 5th minute of play forced Los Cangrejos's goalkeeper Felipe Puyol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rayo Virtudes's Xicu Contreras was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Felipe Puyol made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when John Griful sent off a good shot on target. Xicu Contreras took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Puyol. Felipe Puyol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. John Griful sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Xicu Contreras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Puyol. Los Cangrejos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xicu Contreras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Serafin Shantala came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Los Cangrejos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Shantala couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Los Cangrejos's Dorio De Toro got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Airas Valdés hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Los Cangrejos's Koldo Castellano got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Xicu Contreras came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Rayo Virtudes fans jumped to their feet. In the 41st match minute, Rayo Virtudes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Alcaraz to maneuver through the defense. Xicu Contreras scored 5-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Puyol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 played minutes Los Cangrejos got a freekick which was hit by Medardo Valines. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Xicu Contreras made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Rayo Virtudes's John Griful made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe Puyol was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th match minute, Rayo Virtudes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Abancens to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Xicu Contreras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Puyol was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Airas Valdés hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Xicu Contreras scored 10-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Puyol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Medardo Valines blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sotil Rienda having to make a save. Felipe Puyol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xicu Contreras in the 80th minute of play. Medardo Valines was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Los Cangrejos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. John Griful recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xicu Contreras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Felipe Puyol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Pascual Alcantara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Puyol. Los Cangrejos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascual Alcantara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Koldo Castellano during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Koldo Castellano hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Rayo Virtudes's Jaime Ortega got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rayo Virtudes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
