In the 15th minute of the match Gaizko Morientes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Gimeno skillfully saved the ball. After 16 played minutes FC LLEIDA B got a freekick which was hit by Ander Ruiz. Orizki's Archibaldo Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemencin Cuadrado in the 19th minute of play. Clemencin Cuadrado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Archibaldo Hernandez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 27 minutes into the match, FC LLEIDA B's goal looked a bit too open when Rencio Belalcaraz came free, but Silvio Gimeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Martín Zárate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the match Agapito Rojas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Gimeno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Orizki were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemencin Cuadrado to make the kick off. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Orizki would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
