After a rather tough play, Chequilla's Cristián Alabern got a free kick in the 5th minute. Cipriano Saboya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Saboya was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aimar Jofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lico Parra in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Atilio Villanueva notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Chequilla's Gaizka Carceles. Gaizka Carceles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Curcio Freire's late challenge caught a Santa Baia CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Curcio Freire helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Chequilla getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Curcio Freire hit a great ball. Gaizka Carceles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilio Villanueva in the 20th minute. In the 28th minute, Atilio Villanueva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaizka Carceles was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some careless play in the Chequilla defense, Claus Elias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaizka Carceles. The Chequilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaizka Carceles should have stopped the shot. Gaizka Carceles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Elias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mateo Unzueta made the kick off in the second half. Claus Elias kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Gaizka Carceles came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Baia CF's Kang Ming Yong. But to his dismay, Kang Ming Yong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Gaizka Carceles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Rosales in the 56th minute of play. Chequilla's Gaizka Carceles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Elias in the 57th minute of play. Curcio Freire was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chequilla! Gaizka Carceles had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Cipriano Saboya's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Chequilla's Cristián Alabern got a free kick in the 65th minute. The audience was convinced that Atilio Villanueva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaizka Carceles was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Chequilla's zone, Atilio Villanueva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaizka Carceles came out of the goal and Atilio Villanueva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Saboya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaizka Carceles was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. If Atilio Villanueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaizka Carceles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilio Villanueva in the 78th minute of play. Gaizka Carceles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Rosales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Alberto Rosales left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Baia CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 98 minutes into the match, Santa Baia CF's goalkeeper Aimar Jofre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lico Parra. Santa Baia CF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
