When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Raya made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Venecia's zone, Luis Raya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Varela came out of the goal and Luis Raya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Luis Raya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrella Minera SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Raya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luis Raya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Estrella Minera SAD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Apoena Lama fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 76th match minute, Estrella Minera SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernal Morales to maneuver through the defense. Otunba Adegbola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Sanz in the 79th minute of the match. Apoena Lama who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Otunba Adegbola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 84th minute of the match, Benigno Sanz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Otunba Adegbola saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Luis Raya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julen Castro in the 88th minute of play forced Venecia's goalkeeper Felipe Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Apoena Lama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venecia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Benigno Sanz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Venecia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Sanz couldn't finish the play. Venecia were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Estrella Minera SAD's much stronger midfield.
