After a rather tough play, Vitoria-Gasteiz's Belmiro Alvarez got a free kick in the 16th minute. Nastasio Carreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Sanz, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Apoena Lama struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Nastasio Carreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venecia. Nastasio Carreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apoena Lama in the 32nd minute. Nastasio Carreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Sanz in the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apoena Lama got free with Nastasio Carreira in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a left leg Nastasio Carreira saved Vitoria-Gasteiz from getting behind.
