Giuseppe Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A collision led to UD Linares getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jon Moreira hit a great ball. Traian Chelaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jura Penava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Marins short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Jura Penava to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 32 minutes into the match, Salelles's goal looked a bit too open when Imanol Jofre came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zuberoa Zamora was the one to do the kick off. Jura Penava dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. 95 minutes into the match, Salelles's goal looked a bit too open when Zuberoa Zamora came free, but Giuseppe Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
