Spectators: 8407 (Terracing: 6300, Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 168) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when 胡枫延 took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dean Grieve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Scott in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Desamparados city getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ramiro Castanheira hit a great ball. If Facundo Feria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Constantino Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the PERSPOLIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Salgado couldn't finish the play. Gizon Galego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Feria in the 11th minute of play. Dean Grieve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curro Garay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14thth minute of the game Facundo Feria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desamparados city's Gizon Galego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dean Grieve stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 胡枫延's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Dean Grieve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anchel Jofre in the 18th minute of play. Gizon Galego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Feria in the 20th minute of the match. PERSPOLIS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Honorio Carceles in the 21st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Yiyo Esperta heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Facundo Feria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desamparados city's 胡枫延 got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Desamparados city got a freekick which was hit by 胡枫延. 48 minutes into the match, Desamparados city's goalkeeper Gizon Galego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ekialde Nadal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ekialde Nadal to make the kick off. Ramiro Castanheira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramiro Castanheira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dean Grieve made a huge save. After 57 minutes PERSPOLIS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anchel Jofre who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Desamparados city's corner Anchel Jofre fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dean Grieve quite easily take care of the ball. Gizon Galego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Feria in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Dean Grieve had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 胡枫延. The supporters of PERSPOLIS booed when Desamparados city was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Raya didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Feria in the 66th minute of play forced Desamparados city's goalkeeper Gizon Galego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PERSPOLIS's Dean Grieve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save PERSPOLIS from getting a goal against them. In the 71st match minute, PERSPOLIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shabeb Al Dowaisan to maneuver through the defense. PERSPOLIS's Frutos Barrios was substituted for Yiyo Esperta. Shabeb Al Dowaisan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Gizon Galego came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by PERSPOLIS's Cipriano Ganix. But to his dismay, Cipriano Ganix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 胡枫延 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Grieve having to interfere. 胡枫延's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dean Grieve read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Dean Grieve made an important save on a dangerous shot by 胡枫延 in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute, Desamparados city's Anchel Jofre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Desamparados city were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
