The crowd rose to their feet as CD Belintxon Albacete's Edgard Breckenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guillen Montiel. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. When Platon Blazquez fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Almería's protests and gave Platon Blazquez a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, UD Almería's Platon Blazquez got a free kick in the 44th minute. Emenon Fuente kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Platon Blazquez was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Silvester Odell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 56 played minutes UD Almería got a freekick which was hit by Simon Encina. After having played for 58 minutes, Aniol Marrero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Belintxon Albacete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aniol Marrero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Belintxon Albacete's zone, Platon Blazquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Vilalobos came out of the goal and Platon Blazquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Belintxon Albacete made a substitution. Santiago Dominguez replaced Pere Aguilo. 72 minutes into the match, UD Almería's goal looked a bit too open when Blaise Legoff came free, but Guillen Montiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UD Almería's Guillen Montiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvester Odell in the 73rd minute of play.
