UD Almería's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arın Biçim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The UD Almería fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when UD Almería's Emenon Fuente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute Arın Biçim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillen Montiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, UD Almería's Guillen Montiel got control of the ball when García Garate tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adalberto Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emenon Fuente in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Platon Blazquez in the 21st minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalberto Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emenon Fuente, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Bruce Dickinson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Guillen Montiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Günalp Talip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iron Maiden FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Günalp Talip in the 31st minute. Honorio Torrent was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Günalp Talip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd play minute Honorio Torrent came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guillen Montiel. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arın Biçim in the 47th minute of play forced UD Almería's goalkeeper Guillen Montiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Arın Biçim made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, UD Almería's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Guillen Montiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sofronio Quiroga's late challenge caught a Iron Maiden FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sofronio Quiroga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, UD Almería was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sofronio Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. Despite this Guillen Montiel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 69 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Platon Blazquez. UD Almería's Guillen Montiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Günalp Talip in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofronio Quiroga in the 74th minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillen Montiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günalp Talip in the 75th minute of the match. Günalp Talip took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillen Montiel. Guillen Montiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Iron Maiden FC's Rob Halford was substituted for Clive Burr. 81 minutes into the match, UD Almería's goal looked a bit too open when Janick Geers came free, but Guillen Montiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Harris in the 89th minute of play forced UD Almería's goalkeeper Guillen Montiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofronio Quiroga in the 92nd minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
