Nacho Prats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emenon Fuente got free with Eleazar Titos in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Guardia's goal looked a bit too open when Sofronio Quiroga came free, but Eleazar Titos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillen Montiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Ruiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stoyko Drenkov in the 25th minute of play forced UD Almería's goalkeeper Guillen Montiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillen Montiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Ruiz went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Emenon Fuente kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Guillen Montiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino March in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute UD Almería were awarded a corner. Bitxintxo Prieto went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bitxintxo Prieto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eleazar Titos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
In the 53rd minute Platon Blazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleazar Titos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Platon Blazquez took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eleazar Titos. Eleazar Titos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Musko Zurica fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Almería's protests and gave Musko Zurica a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to UD Almería getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Musko Zurica hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Guardia were awarded a corner. Francisco Ruiz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Guardia's Adán Bernal to fire away a dangerous shot which Guillen Montiel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Guardia booed when UD Almería was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Platon Blazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Francisco Ruiz lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Guillen Montiel. In the 64th minute of the match, Francisco Ruiz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guillen Montiel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Emenon Fuente came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the UD Almería fans jumped to their feet. Guardia were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
