Jose-Manuel Alabern started the match with the kick off. Carmelo De Pablo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose-Manuel Alabern in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Laerte Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Carmelo De Pablo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose-Manuel Alabern in the 7th minute of play. After 10 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Lara. Herauso Crespo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeo Lara in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match, Jakes Vila tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Herauso Crespo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jose-Manuel Alabern might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo De Pablo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose-Manuel Alabern ran back to his position shaking his head. Carmelo De Pablo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose-Manuel Alabern in the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Amadeo Lara made a precise shot to the right of Herauso Crespo. Gowland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Herauso Crespo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Rapado in the 25th minute of play. Herauso Crespo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeo Lara in the 39th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jakes Vila to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose-Manuel Alabern got free with Carmelo De Pablo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Gowland's Jose-Manuel Alabern sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carmelo De Pablo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Lara. Gowland's Jose-Manuel Alabern got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the game, Amadeo Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Herauso Crespo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Jose-Manuel Alabern reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carmelo De Pablo. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 77th minute Julio Alacuart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herauso Crespo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th match minute, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Reyes to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Reyes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose-Manuel Alabern got free with Carmelo De Pablo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 86 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Jose-Manuel Alabern came free, but Carmelo De Pablo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose-Manuel Alabern could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Carmelo De Pablo made a huge save. After having played for 89 minutes, Ingvar Wallander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gowland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Wallander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jose-Manuel Alabern recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo De Pablo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jose-Manuel Alabern sent off a good shot on target. When Julio Alacuart came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Alacuart couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
