When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélder de Lara made a kick off. Roman Zima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Christodoulos Karabogias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as J.P. Morgan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christodoulos Karabogias. That made the score 1-2 in the 62 minute of play. If Bob Morley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Universitario de deportes made a substitution. Universitario de deportes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
