In the 27th minute Tales Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Yun Chen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lico Tarin in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaizkine Nobo saved ReyPoxo from getting behind. After a rather tough play, ReyPoxo's Cristi Chivu got a free kick in the 31st minute. When ATLETAS FC's Lico Tarin in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ReyPoxo's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of ATLETAS FC booed when ReyPoxo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Collin didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lico Tarin made a kick off. ReyPoxo's Urdin Alabern got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shi Yun Chen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tales Lucas's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Shi Yun Chen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, ATLETAS FC's Lico Tarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaizkine Nobo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ATLETAS FC's Shi Yun Chen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Lucas in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the ATLETAS FC defense, Tales Lucas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shi Yun Chen. The ATLETAS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shi Yun Chen should have stopped the shot. ReyPoxo made a substitution. Fabián Guijarro replaced Christer Collin. After a rather tough play, ATLETAS FC's Marc de Pelsmakere got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in ATLETAS FC's zone, Albano Hegoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shi Yun Chen came out of the goal and Albano Hegoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Hegoi in the 82nd minute of play forced ATLETAS FC's goalkeeper Shi Yun Chen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute of the match ReyPoxo got a corner. ATLETAS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ATLETAS FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Eutropio Turienzo's late challenge caught a ReyPoxo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eutropio Turienzo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ReyPoxo booed when ATLETAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eutropio Turienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Samuel Etoo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shi Yun Chen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
