When Johannes Korngaard came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Skaarup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Korngaard couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute Johannes Korngaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piotr Bringeby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svenne Kozma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piotr Bringeby having to interfere. Svenne Kozma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Piotr Bringeby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johannes Korngaard in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piotr Bringeby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Johannes Korngaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aksel Kiaby got free with Tejs Ørsby in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gynther Nebo in the 41st minute of play forced Skaarup's goalkeeper Tejs Ørsby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Skaarup's Svenne Kozma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Piotr Bringeby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Skaarup were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svenne Kozma was the one to do the kick off. The long shot by Wiktor Austin in the 56th minute really tested Piotr Bringeby's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Johannes Korngaard got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Nyborg's zone, Svenne Kozma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piotr Bringeby came out of the goal and Svenne Kozma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Svenne Kozma in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Nyborg's Frederick Wexøe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Skaarup. With a little luck, Nyborg's Piotr Bringeby got control of the ball when Johannes Korngaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 69 minutes, Elmar Hardysø mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nyborg and the Skaarup players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tejs Ørsby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gynther Nebo in the 72nd minute of play. Piotr Bringeby came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Skaarup's Svenne Kozma. But to his dismay, Svenne Kozma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Skaarup's zone, Aksel Kiaby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tejs Ørsby came out of the goal and Aksel Kiaby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johannes Korngaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Piotr Bringeby made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Vagner Tauling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 85 minutes, Johannes Korngaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skaarup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Korngaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piotr Bringeby was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Svenne Kozma showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 86 minute of play. Cornelius Engelquist hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nyborg's zone, Svenne Kozma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piotr Bringeby came out of the goal and Svenne Kozma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Skaarup left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nyborg.
