With a little luck, Rye FC's Lucjan Kanczuszewski got control of the ball when Ejnar Jøhnk tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Tycho Morud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Kanczuszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute Jerzy Kempski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Jerzy Kempski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rye FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerzy Kempski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Kempski in the 29th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Konstantin Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerzy Kempski might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konstantin Marin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerzy Kempski ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Arsenal FC defense, Jerzy Kempski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Konstantin Marin. The Arsenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Konstantin Marin should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Johnni Nordvad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenal FC's Ejnar Jøhnk got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Rye FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eskil Wirenfeldt to maneuver through the defense. Tycho Morud hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Lucjan Kanczuszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tycho Morud in the 43rd minute of the match. Konstantin Marin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jerzy Kempski went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tycho Morud made a kick off. Tycho Morud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucjan Kanczuszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ejnar Jøhnk went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Konstantin Marin was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Jerzy Kempski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jerzy Kempski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 72nd minute Leif Uglsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucjan Kanczuszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rye FC's Lucjan Kanczuszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ejnar Jøhnk in the 74th minute of play. Lucjan Kanczuszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ejnar Jøhnk in the 75th minute of the match. Mads Jørgensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantin Marin having to interfere. Lucjan Kanczuszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leif Uglsø, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Johnni Nordvad kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Dick Harving took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucjan Kanczuszewski. Rye FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Jerzy Kempski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rye FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
