Valder Kames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Leopold Videx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Randers Sharks's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopold Videx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valder Kames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th match minute, Davinde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicky Lavang to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Leopold Videx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valder Kames was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Davinde's Einer Galli got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rene Gjerulff kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Davinde were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Randers Sharks's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eddy Bukballe took the corner. The corner ended in Janick Varding almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Randers Sharks's Tommy Pharao did a great save. Einer Galli hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Janick Varding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Randers Sharks supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Randers Sharks would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
