After 11 played minutes Aarhus Flo GF got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Sürig. 15 minutes into the game, Carsten Feibert lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Luis Ewersen. After having played for 21 minutes, Theis Dylsing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jysted's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theis Dylsing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bob Barsk struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Luis Ewersen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jysted. Torsten Løvholt charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Løvholt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aarhus Flo GF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. The tension between the Jysted and the Aarhus Flo GF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Moses Restaino might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kevin Wiik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 39th minute Wagn Donkirk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Wiik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aarhus Flo GF's Pierre Sürig got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Ewersen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carsten Feibert in the 44th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carsten Feibert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Akselholt hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Wagn Donkirk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Ewersen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Barsk in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aarhus Flo GF's goalkeeper Luis Ewersen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Pierre Sürig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mikael Ørbekker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luis Ewersen. Aarhus Flo GF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wagn Donkirk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Aarhus Flo GF booed when Jysted was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Akselholt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wagn Donkirk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Ewersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carsten Feibert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aake Pihlager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Wagn Donkirk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aarhus Flo GF's supporters rose to their feet, but Wagn Donkirk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Wiik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aarhus Flo GF's Luis Ewersen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carsten Feibert in the 85th minute of play. Wagn Donkirk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Wiik having to interfere.
