Alslev's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elkjaer United the free kick. The supporters of Elkjaer United booed when Alslev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaes Lyngsfort didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nico Grunwald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Anadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Halvor Badenfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halvor Badenfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Elkjaer United getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Bruno Jarp hit a great ball. Halvor Badenfeldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Nico Grunwald skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Calle Froborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes, Elkjaer United's Constantin Sjølund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hagbard Butzbacker came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
