Rudolph Thortsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gynther Malow in the 3rd minute of play. The Brydebølle fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Brydebølle's Maurits Gensbøl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maurits Gensbøl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolph Thortsen having to interfere. Rudolph Thortsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gynther Malow in the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Maurits Gensbøl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brydebølle's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurits Gensbøl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolph Thortsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Gynther Malow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudolph Thortsen was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Asmund Nyrud kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Maurits Gensbøl came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Brydebølle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurits Gensbøl couldn't finish the play. After 38 played minutes, Brydebølle's Micki Kjar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rudolph Thortsen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brydebølle reached it. Rudolph Thortsen came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Brydebølle's Gynther Malow. But to his dismay, Gynther Malow quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 43 minutes, Maurits Gensbøl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brydebølle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurits Gensbøl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gynther Malow came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Brydebølle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gynther Malow couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gynther Malow to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Gynther Malow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolph Thortsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Rudolph Thortsen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gynther Malow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolph Thortsen having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Wolfgang Braby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brydebølle and the FC Bækmand players grew even worse after the yellow card. 67 minutes into the match, Brydebølle's goal looked a bit too open when Ingolf Ovel came free, but Owe Renholt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gynther Malow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rudolph Thortsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brydebølle's Gynther Malow got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Bækmand's Rudolph Thortsen got control of the ball when Maurits Gensbøl tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gynther Malow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 75 played minutes Brydebølle got a freekick which was hit by Maurits Gensbøl. Bertel Stadi kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Gynther Malow came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Brydebølle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gynther Malow couldn't finish the play. Maurits Gensbøl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rudolph Thortsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Brydebølle could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Bækmand throughout the match.
