The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augustin Saxil hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Andre Sauvr charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andre Sauvr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Mariager IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Sauvr to maneuver through the defense. After 7 minutes, Al Skarborg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariager IF and the The End players grew even worse after the yellow card. Al Skarborg hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Esben Nilander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Memphis Troldahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Ronni Lubbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Ellemand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andre Sauvr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Eskil Bastheim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Memphis Troldahl. The goal made the score 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Esben Nilander notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of The End's Memphis Troldahl. Memphis Troldahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronni Lubbert in the 32nd minute of play forced Mariager IF's goalkeeper Franz Ellemand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eskil Bastheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Memphis Troldahl having to interfere. Ejner Vesterli kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Esben Nilander in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Memphis Troldahl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Mariager IF's Andre Sauvr got a free kick in the 40th minute. Ibrahim Bergild's late challenge caught a The End's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ibrahim Bergild helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Mariager IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibrahim Bergild to maneuver through the defense. Memphis Troldahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskil Bastheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Refning was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Mariager IF's Franz Ellemand got control of the ball when Ronni Lubbert tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the The End defense, Esben Nilander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Memphis Troldahl. The The End fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Memphis Troldahl should have stopped the shot. Memphis Troldahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asker Parming, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Mariager IF's Diego Holsmose was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Memphis Troldahl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 61st minute Al Skarborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Memphis Troldahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Memphis Troldahl came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mariager IF's Asker Parming. But to his dismay, Asker Parming quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After having played for 70 minutes, Andre Sauvr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariager IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Sauvr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Memphis Troldahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eskil Bastheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Memphis Troldahl came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Mariager IF's Esben Nilander. But to his dismay, Esben Nilander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 78th minute, Esben Nilander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mariager IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 83 minutes into the game, Asker Parming cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Memphis Troldahl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franz Ellemand made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ronni Lubbert sent off a good shot on target. After 90 minutes of play, Mariager IF's Asker Parming made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Memphis Troldahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute Memphis Brunals shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Ellemand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariager IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
