Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mortimer Bilt started the match with the kick off. Eskil Bastheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 6 minutes in the game, Eskil Bastheim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Karlo Schleicher having to interfere. Andre Sauvr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karlo Schleicher having to interfere. Esben Nilander struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Karlo Schleicher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariager IF. Esben Nilander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eskil Bastheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karlo Schleicher having to interfere. Karlo Schleicher was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Esben Nilander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Esben Nilander really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A collision led to Mariager IF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Diego Holsmose hit a great ball. Freddie Burmester took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franz Ellemand. Mariager IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Eskil Bastheim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariager IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eskil Bastheim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karlo Schleicher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 23 minutes, Esben Nilander made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Maarup IF's Karlo Schleicher tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Mariager IF's Esben Nilander dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Maarup IF's Karlo Schleicher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Maarup IF from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the game, Wagner Ovring was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maarup IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariager IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Maarup IF's Wagner Ovring got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd match minute, Maarup IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Alhede to maneuver through the defense. Karlo Schleicher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esben Nilander in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Diego Holsmose managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariager IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Holsmose was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karlo Schleicher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maarup IF's Karlo Schleicher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esben Nilander in the 45th minute of play. Andre Sauvr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Esben Nilander to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Eskil Bastheim notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Maarup IF's Karlo Schleicher. Karlo Schleicher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karlo Schleicher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eskil Bastheim in the 57th minute of the match. Esben Nilander might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karlo Schleicher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esben Nilander ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 66 minutes, Diego Holsmose managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariager IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Holsmose was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roland Midalberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franz Ellemand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eskil Bastheim in the 70th minute of play forced Maarup IF's goalkeeper Karlo Schleicher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esben Nilander in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karlo Schleicher saved Maarup IF from getting behind. Karlo Schleicher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esben Nilander's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Maarup IF's Wagner Ovring got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Wagner Ovring off the ground. Wagner Ovring hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 76 minutes, Esben Nilander made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maarup IF's Karlo Schleicher tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mariager IF's Al Skarborg got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esben Nilander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Karlo Schleicher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Esben Nilander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karlo Schleicher. Maarup IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esben Nilander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. When Mariager IF's Esben Nilander in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maarup IF's goalie prevented a goal. Esben Nilander took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karlo Schleicher. Karlo Schleicher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. There was no doubt that Mariager IF were the better team. Mariager IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
