The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vilfred Paustian's late challenge caught a Oddesund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilfred Paustian helped the player get up and apologised. Vilfred Paustian hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Lauritz Boland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjeld Rylov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. If Tom Hvannastein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Team Boukalele's goalkeeper Kjeld Rylov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcus Plessum. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lauritz Boland was the one to do the kick off. Lauritz Boland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 58 minutes, Igor Dyhrsing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oddesund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Dyhrsing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Team Boukalele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarne Amkær to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Svenåge Vesselfeldt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abraham Jespensgaard. The goal made the score 1-1. Abraham Jespensgaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Greenvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Oddesund's zone, Dick Folsby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham Jespensgaard came out of the goal and Dick Folsby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th match minute, Oddesund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Dyhrsing to maneuver through the defense. Dick Folsby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abraham Jespensgaard was a little too slow when Svenåge Vesselfeldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 93rd minute Svenåge Vesselfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Jespensgaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Dyhrsing struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Kjeld Rylov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oddesund.
