Kaare Dyrbøg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Brejnebøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Seventh Stranger's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Staalfos came free, but Kaare Dyrbøg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. København's goalkeeper Blas Cidro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piotr Kolbo. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Augustin Staalfos sped through Seventh Stranger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kaare Dyrbøg. If Augustin Staalfos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaare Dyrbøg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Brejnebøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Jose Brejnebøl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaare Dyrbøg. Seventh Stranger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose Brejnebøl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 35th match minute, F.C. København was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilmer Tokkesdal to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 36 minutes, Piotr Kolbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seventh Stranger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piotr Kolbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaare Dyrbøg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Brejnebøl in the 39th minute of play. When Carl Leer fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. København's protests and gave Carl Leer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Seventh Stranger booed when F.C. København was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Leer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piotr Kolbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Augustin Staalfos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaare Dyrbøg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Piotr Kolbo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Jose Brejnebøl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. København's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Brejnebøl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seventh Stranger's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vilmer Tokkesdal ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on F.C. København's corner Vilmer Tokkesdal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kaare Dyrbøg quite easily take care of the ball. In the 64th minute of the match, Kenney Aasum tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kaare Dyrbøg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kaare Dyrbøg made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Augustin Staalfos sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the match, F.C. København's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Kolbo came free, but Blas Cidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Piotr Kolbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Carl Leer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaare Dyrbøg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute Wilhelm Sahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaare Dyrbøg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Seventh Stranger getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Svenn Matzke hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, F.C. København's Kaare Dyrbøg threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilhelm Sahlberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Blas Cidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis MacAlister, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute Erhard Kirkhede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaare Dyrbøg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augustin Staalfos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Kaare Dyrbøg 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, Seventh Stranger's Gert Nordlid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blas Cidro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexis MacAlister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Piotr Kolbo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Seventh Stranger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piotr Kolbo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erhard Kirkhede got free with Kaare Dyrbøg in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The F.C. København supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C. København would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
