The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Griffenfeld got free with Folmar Brunved in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, one of Esbjerg fB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esbjerg fB. Wawrzyniec Walicki went to the wrong direction when Olav Helberg was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorvald Nadal in the 13th minute of play forced Esbjerg fB's goalkeeper Wawrzyniec Walicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Tander SIK's Thorvald Nadal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Tander SIK's Thorvald Nadal in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was a well-played corner which Iver Tardorf managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 35 played minutes Esbjerg fB got a freekick which was hit by Iver Tardorf. With a little luck, Tander SIK's Folmar Brunved got control of the ball when Henry Rudbøg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Folmar Brunved made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Bjørgum in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zakarias Brejnrod in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folmar Brunved prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Esbjerg fB's Zakarias Brejnrod got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

51 minutes into the match, Tander SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Griffenfeld came free, but Folmar Brunved reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Vagn Thisvad sent off a good shot on target. Folmar Brunved showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zakarias Brejnrod, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rune Griffenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Wawrzyniec Walicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toke Myndel in the 70th minute of the match. Ib Dalsted kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Toke Myndel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esbjerg fB's Wawrzyniec Walicki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Esbjerg fB from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Tander SIK's Toke Myndel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Vagn Thisvad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wawrzyniec Walicki was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After 83 minutes of play, Tander SIK's Vagn Thisvad made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wawrzyniec Walicki was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rune Griffenfeld in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Folmar Brunved saved Tander SIK from getting behind. 88 minutes into the game, Tander SIK's Toke Myndel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tander SIK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
