Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christen Lehn got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Ibbtown Digger's Raoul Schulze-Boysen got control of the ball when Thorsten Junginger tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lars Petek fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deckenhausen's protests and gave Lars Petek a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deckenhausen's Lars Petek got a free kick in the 7th minute. Lukas Tegtmeyer's late challenge caught a Ibbtown Digger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lukas Tegtmeyer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Lukas Tegtmeyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Mirko Sziedat sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Deckenhausen's Olaf Schwartau didn't even have to move. After 12 minutes of play Deckenhausen's Lars Petek was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Ibbtown Digger booed when Deckenhausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Petek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Alex Bügen made a precise shot to the right of Olaf Schwartau. Deckenhausen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bartolo Sauer hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibbtown Digger's goalkeeper Raoul Schulze-Boysen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thorsten Junginger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Raoul Schulze-Boysen made a huge save. After 30 minutes of play, Ibbtown Digger's Jean Gramminger made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olaf Schwartau was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 35 minutes, Thorsten Junginger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deckenhausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorsten Junginger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thorsten Junginger struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Raoul Schulze-Boysen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deckenhausen. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Thorsten Junginger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deckenhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Thorsten Junginger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raoul Schulze-Boysen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alex Bügen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Gramminger made a kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Deckenhausen's Thorsten Junginger made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raoul Schulze-Boysen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Thorsten Junginger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Bügen struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Olaf Schwartau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibbtown Digger. 73 minutes into the match, Thorsten Junginger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raoul Schulze-Boysen. Ibbtown Digger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thorsten Junginger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jean Gramminger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Olaf Schwartau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibbtown Digger's Raoul Schulze-Boysen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simeon Detzler in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Deckenhausen booed when Ibbtown Digger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Sauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute Thorsten Junginger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raoul Schulze-Boysen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raoul Schulze-Boysen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lukas Tegtmeyer went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Thorsten Junginger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raoul Schulze-Boysen was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Deckenhausen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
