The crowd rose to their feet as Hasso Marwein kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raoul Schulze-Boysen. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerd Lischka got free with Raoul Schulze-Boysen in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerd Lischka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Raoul Schulze-Boysen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jonah Freud fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored gutgut's protests and gave Jonah Freud a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ibbtown Digger booed when gutgut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonah Freud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauritz Schwang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Bügen in the 14th minute of the match. Raoul Schulze-Boysen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasso Marwein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerd Lischka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raoul Schulze-Boysen was a little too slow when Hasso Marwein got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Jean Gramminger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Lauritz Schwang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hasso Marwein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raoul Schulze-Boysen having to interfere. Frederik Mende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. gutgut's Lauritz Schwang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Bügen in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Jean Gramminger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauritz Schwang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ibbtown Digger booed when gutgut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonah Freud didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Ibbtown Digger were awarded a corner. Mirko Sziedat went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ibbtown Digger's corner Roland Erler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lauritz Schwang quite easily take care of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hasso Marwein to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerd Lischka in the 52nd minute of play forced Ibbtown Digger's goalkeeper Raoul Schulze-Boysen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Gramminger in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauritz Schwang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hasso Marwein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Raoul Schulze-Boysen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raoul Schulze-Boysen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerd Lischka, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 69 minutes of play, gutgut's Gerd Lischka made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raoul Schulze-Boysen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Ibbtown Digger's Mirko Sziedat got a free kick in the 74th minute. gutgut's Lauritz Schwang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save gutgut from getting a goal against them. After 84 minutes, Alex Bügen made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. gutgut's Lauritz Schwang tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hasso Marwein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. gutgut had won after a very even match.
