After a rather tough play, TSV Brunn's Kristof Markmann got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 3rd match minute, Heuerßen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcello Liski to maneuver through the defense. Willibald Kammer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torsten Struck in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velten Base in the 8th minute of play forced Heuerßen FSV's goalkeeper Willibald Kammer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Velten Base had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Uphoff hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Leonhard Raus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Jüptner having to interfere. After 21 played minutes TSV Brunn got a freekick which was hit by Patrick-Marc Waibel. Heuerßen FSV's Leonhard Raus got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Leonhard Raus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marko Jüptner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Heuerßen FSV's Willibald Kammer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velten Base in the 31st minute of play. Velten Base fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willibald Kammer having to interfere. If Torsten Struck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marko Jüptner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Stanke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heuerßen FSV's Thomas Stanke got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes TSV Brunn got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Markmann. Marcello Liski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Eicke Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heuerßen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TSV Brunn the free kick. After a rather tough play, Heuerßen FSV's Eicke Hoffmann got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thomas Stanke might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marko Jüptner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Stanke ran back to his position shaking his head. When Kristof Markmann fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSV Brunn's protests and gave Kristof Markmann a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes TSV Brunn got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Markmann. Heuerßen FSV were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
