Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sergej Maluga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. FC Kusel's Björn Jensch shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gernot Deipenbrock but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Ihrenbrück's Damir Johannsen got a free kick in the 8th minute. Patrick Wald's late challenge caught a FC Kusel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Wald helped the player get up and apologised. Siegfried Hug got in the 10th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Gernot Deipenbrock and thus it was 1-0. If Joachim von Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernot Deipenbrock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergej Maluga, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Lars Brüning made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 24thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gernot Deipenbrock would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 24 played minutes FC Kusel got a freekick which was hit by Frank Donau. In the 25th match minute, Ihrenbrück was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alois Rabiega to maneuver through the defense. Lars Brüning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gernot Deipenbrock made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Lars Brüning got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 32 minutes into the game, Thorsten Traub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ihrenbrück's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kusel the free kick. Thorsten Traub kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Gernot Deipenbrock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergej Maluga in the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kusel's zone, Berthold Howahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xerxes Hauffen came out of the goal and Berthold Howahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Joachim von Berg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xerxes Hauffen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When FC Kusel's Sergej Maluga in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ihrenbrück's goalie prevented a goal. Ihrenbrück's Gernot Deipenbrock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ihrenbrück from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joachim von Berg was the one to do the kick off. Joachim von Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Xerxes Hauffen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bastiaan Trube kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Kusel's Xerxes Hauffen got control of the ball when Damir Johannsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Kusel's Lars Brüning got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Brüning blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gernot Deipenbrock having to make a save. If Sergej Maluga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars Brüning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernot Deipenbrock having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Sergej Maluga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gernot Deipenbrock. Ihrenbrück's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergej Maluga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Joachim Reb fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Kusel's protests and gave Joachim Reb a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Joachim Reb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the game, one of FC Kusel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gernot Deipenbrock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Brüning in the 86th minute of play. Lars Brüning took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gernot Deipenbrock. Gernot Deipenbrock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ihrenbrück players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Kusel.
