But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Wolter couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eike Kamieth during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Seßlach made a substitution. Odo Haupt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Kranz in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Kurt Kranz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odo Haupt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Emanuel Wolter sped through Reaper crew's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karsten Köllner. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Wolter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Odo Haupt was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Kurt Kranz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kurt Kranz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Reaper crew's Erhard Jägel got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Odo Haupt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Kranz in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Eike Kamieth could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Odo Haupt however easily saved by the left post. When Daniel Joosten fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Seßlach's protests and gave Daniel Joosten a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes FC Seßlach got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Joosten. Norman Grob took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karsten Köllner. Karsten Köllner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Norman Grob struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Karsten Köllner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Seßlach. A sloppy throw-in by Patrick Utters in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Seßlach's Daniel Joosten. After a rather tough play, FC Seßlach's Rainer Maria Braun got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Odo Haupt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 96 minutes of play, FC Seßlach's Norman Grob made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karsten Köllner was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that FC Seßlach were the better team. FC Seßlach's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
